The hop today is really cool. We were challenged to put together pieces from different kits to come up with new ideas. If any of the pieces look interesting to you, check out the Club Scrap store.
The card to the left was created using images from the "Adirondacks" kit. I created a base card and then cut out a small section. I attached a piece of transparent film to the inside front of the card and reattached the small section at the bottom. I then added cardstock from the "Hops and Barley" kit to the front panels. To hide the adhesive that showed, I covered the acetate inside the card with some paper from the "Garden Shed" kit, lined the inside of the card back with the beautiful red-orange cardstock from the kit, and stamped one of the sentiments on it. I cut out the mountains and the canoe from one of the cut-apart sheets and colored them with Prismacolor colored pencils. A little hemp twine and it was a wrap. (Really it was a WRAP. Try to keep up with me, people!) |
I made another background using the Distress Oxide inks. I used a splatter-type stamp from my stash to add a little more blue to the mix. The background was mounted on cardstock from the "Hops and Barley" kit. I embossed the jar from the "Adirondacks" kit again and added crocheted flowers from my stash. Finally, I popped up a sentiment from the "Stamped Bouquet" stamp set. (Love the handwritten look of that stamp!) I added some lines to frame the word. |
