A cute and simple card appropriate for Valentine's Day or any other day you just want to let someone know they're special!
I used one of the sentiments from The Project Bin's "In My Heart" set for this card. I used a panel of Distress Ink'd cardstock and layered up to the top panel where I added more of the yellow-orange color to so it would help pull some of the Distress color up.

Another card with my favorite The Project Bin set, "In Your Heart." I used one of the dies that comes with the set to punch a heart out of the center before I mounted the card front to the base. This allowed me to pop the sentiment, stamped on a different piece of cardstock and cut out with the same die, into the negative space. I added another heart I cut from yet a different cardstock to help balance the card.
I pinch pleated the dark ribbon and added some thin, silver threads that I tied into a bow. I topped it off with a heart stick pin. Voila! This set is a must-have for every cardmaker! This card, featuring The Project Bin's "In My Heart" stamp set, is a clever little thing! Here's a tutorial that shows how to make a rectangle one like I showed today and a square one!
If this card was leaving my house and going to yours, I would write inside the small card and if I needed to, I'd continue on the blank side to the left of the smaller card, as you can see in the second photo. This is my favorite stamp set from The Project Bin (closely followed by "Haunt It!"). If you haven't had explored the website yet, go forth and shop!
I was feeling a little nostalgic today and these papers helped take me back. I decided to pair the papers with a sentiment that also takes me back. Must be that I turned 55 not long ago.
I used The Project Bin's "Fun is Good" set for this card. I sponged the edges, added stitching, and threw on some ribbon just for the heck of it. I decided that just one more heart was in order and cut it out with the die from the "In My Heart" set. And on that note, I need to go change my Depends and find a pair of readers just a bit stronger than these. Ay-yi-yi....old age ain't for sissies!
"In My Heart" is one of my very favorite sets from The Project Bin. Today, I used the dotted heart stamp and die that comes with the set as well as one of the awesome sentiments to make this cheery card!
I traced the outside of the die onto the patterned paper and cut it out with scissors. Next, I ran the front side of the card base and some peach paper with the die on it through my Big Shot. I mounted the patterned paper onto the card base using mounting tape to elevate it which gives the heart an embedded look. I stamped the peach heart left from the die with the dotted heart stamp and embossed it using clear embossing powder. Then I stamped the white heart cut from the card base with the sentiment. I added adhesive onto and plugged it back into the spot left from the die, so it can be seen when the card is closed and open. I attached the peach heart on the front of the card and added a peach-colored pearl beneath the sentiment as embellishments. FIni! Monday means a Project Bin, and since it's Monday, Monday, I have a card and another card for you!
The Project Bin just released its newest set, "In My Heart," and it is a beauty! In addition to stamps that say just what you want to say, it comes with two metal dies - a heart and an XOXO. How fantastic is that? While definitely a set that will work for Valentine's Day, it can also be terrific to make every day notes for those you love.
I used the heart die for this card, as well as the sweetest sentiment EVER! I gave my white gel pen a work out, as well as my gold gel pen and Glossy Accents. I continue to stockpile cards for that special someone. Just sayin', my craft room is only so big, If you know Mr. Wonderful, I'd appreciate an introduction! |
